StatSheet Projects Missouri as NCAA Tournament Bubble Team Eight Seed: 03/17/2013

StatSheet is projecting Missouri on the bubble for the NCAA Tournament with potentially an eight seed. The Tigers are unranked in the AP Poll and sit at #40 in the StatSheet StatRank with a 23-10 overall record and an 11-7 record in the SEC.

Over the last four games, Missouri grabbed wins against Texas A&M and Arkansas but also suffered losses to RPI #50 Ole Miss and RPI #58 Tennessee.

Missouri is average against top competition, with a 10-10 record against the RPI Top 100 that includes a 3-3 record against the RPI Top 50 but a 2-3 record against AP ranked teams. The Tigers boast four quality wins including AP #13 Florida, RPI #50 Ole Miss, RPI #36 Illinois, and AP #25 Virginia Commonwealth with no bad losses at all.

The last four teams into the NCAA Tournament with at-large bids are Alabama (21-12, 12-6 SEC, StatRank #60), Baylor (18-14, 9-9 Big 12, StatRank #61), Boise State (21-10, 9-7 Mountain West, StatRank #40), and Tennessee (20-12, 11-7 SEC, StatRank #58).

The first four teams out are Colorado (21-11, 10-8 Pac-12, StatRank #46), La Salle (21-9, 11-5 A-10, StatRank #50), Temple (23-9, 11-5 A-10, StatRank #43), and Wichita State (26-8, 12-6 Missouri Valley, StatRank #32).

The next four out are Florida State (18-15, 9-9 ACC, StatRank #81), Iowa (21-12, 9-9 Big Ten, StatRank #77), Maryland (22-12, 8-10 ACC, StatRank #72), and Virginia (21-11, 11-7 ACC, StatRank #75).
